The holidays are in full swing around the world and no doubt Paris, one of my favorite cities, is all dressed up for the season. Two years ago Scott and I spent the holidays in London and Paris. Today I'm taking a few quiet moments out of our hectic holiday schedule to reflect on the beauty and charm that we lapped up in this enchanting city. We'll just call it a holiday escape. Come along with me...
As we wander the neighborhoods, at dusk, we see the Parisian apartments decked out with Christmas trees, lights and festive winter flower boxes with colorful cyclamen and greenery.
Everywhere we look the shop windows are all dressed up in their holiday finery.
I love the natural touches of greenery, branches and blooming bulbs-so fresh and so festive.
The winter Eiffel tower is dressed in a tutu of fog.
The icy blue of the winter sky on the Siene is unforgettable.
The cafes are colorful and cozy, even in winter.
The holidays, the perfect time to get lost and discover a new hidden gem, if you bundle up.
Galleries Lafayette dressed in holiday sparkle...
and the windows entrance and charm all who linger.
Quintessential Paris at the holidays...
I'll always remember.
Thank you for joining me on my reflections of Paris today.
Scott and I have made our way to another favorite city to ring in the New Year.
Wishing you a warm and wonderful 2015!
Now it's your turn ;)
