Thoughts on Thankfulness

The view from here

It's Thanksgiving Day here in the states and it's one of my favorite holidays.

I'm anticipating some wonderful family time without the frenzy of shopping, gift wrapping and checking off the lists. Shhhhh-don't tell anyone but we've actually chosen to go out for our Thanksgiving meal this year. My mom has stocked up on goodies for 'left over' snacking and turkey sandwiches. It's rather brilliant and I'm in full support of this idea during such a busy year. We've been traveling (just back from a getaway to wine country for my husband's birthday) and business is booming in the boutique (also thankful) so this Thanksgiving is looking to be very relaxing-just what we had in mind. On thanksgiving Day I always take a few quiet moments to reflect back on the year and feel grateful. This year has included some monumental family moments-including 3 graduations and my mom's beautiful wedding last September. We've traveled-to Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, NYC and the wine country-for which I am always grateful. Travel is the frosting on my cake.

My blog will turn 2 years old in January and I am ever so grateful for the opportunities, adventures and most importantly the wonderful connections I have made on this journey. My world has expanded and been enriched which is exactly what I needed for my 'midlife' chapter.

Has blogging enriched your life in the same way?
