Winter Style Edit
Now that temperatures have dipped, we are all reaching for cozy, warm pieces this time of year. I like to keep my winter wardrobe pretty unfussy. I collect good quality basics, in black and neutrals, so I can mix and match to create well-structured outfits with ease. My winter style edit is all about cozy texture, a luxurious feel against the skin, and the warmth of layers. Think leather, cashmere, wool and silk, combined with uncomplicated styling. Start with skinny jeans or leggings, in a dark color. Add an asymmetrical t-shirt or flowing silk top. Layer with sweater or wrap top. Add the outer layers, a cape, camel trench, leather moto, wool pea coat or something heavier if the climate requires it. Black boots are a classic and perfect with the leggings, or skinny jeans. I finally found this pair, above, by Sam Edelman, and they work with everything. I may spark the look with a faux fur collar, a bright scarf and a touch of rose gold for shine. This is my 'go to' winter style and it's easy formula dressing for the winter. Pure simplicity and comfort that feels good on the skin. Having a seasonal style formula eases the stress around dressing for the season, creates more simplicity in my day to day life, and both are important elements of healthy self-care.

Finally, did you see the Golden Globe Awards last night? The fashions were stunning, Amy and Tina were hilarious....but the swoon worthy moment (and you know this is coming) was our man, George Clooney here. His speech, his devotion to his wife, his charm...swoon!! #enoughsaid
