It was an unexpected surprise to pop open Instagram and see my Curated Travel bio featured on the CADENCE Travel Blog earlier this week. Since I joined the luxury travel agency team, as an independent travel advisor back in 2018, I’ve received the warmest welcome, made invaluable international connections, and gained a wealth of resources to enhance the art of travel for my clients. Not to mention the amazing travel opportunities that have come my way in the last three years. Thank you to CADENCE for the lovely shoutout for my travel business and the entrepreneurial life.
Behind the Glass: An Afternoon with Artist & Entrepreneur Courtney Gray of grayc glass
To say that I had a good time spending an afternoon in the studio with Courtney Gray--the artist and entrepreneur behind gracyc glass--would be an understatement. Courtney is warm, effervescent, smart and talented. Did I mention she is hysterical? I felt like I had known her for years within minutes of meeting her. Courtney showed me around her home studio; being based at home is her practical solution for staying in touch with family life, while still having the opportunity for late-hour artistic inspirations. Courtney is based in Chico, Northern California, and has garnered quite a following in the community and beyond.
Scott and I used to whisper it to each other over the years: “We aren’t really cruisers.” We happily schlepped our way through cobblestoned Italian hill towns, wandered along Mediterranean seafronts, and checked into luxurious beachfront resorts, proudly proclaiming ourselves land‑lovers through and through. But after one too many grueling European trips spent hauling luggage from place to place every few days, we realized that small‑ship cruising deserved a place in our travel repertoire.
